Course Description

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) has been extensively researched and has solid empirical support as an evidence-based treatment for addictions. CBT is structured, goal-oriented, and focused on the immediate problems faced by substance abusers entering treatment who are struggling to control their substance misuse. It is a flexible, individualized approach that can be adapted to a wide range of individuals and a wide range of treatment settings and formats.

Duration: 14 training hours  online with a mandatory start date and completion date over a 2 week period.

Online class is open and available over a period of 2 weeks. All online classes have a course agenda with assignments, forums, quizzes and due dates. The class format is a paced structure while being flexible for student convenience.
