All Odyssey classes seek to enhance the ability of the counselor to offer treatment services in a manner that respects gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, cultural, familial, systemic and socioeconomic diversity.

All traditional online classes have a start date and completion date over a 1 or 2 or 3 week period. Student must follow course agenda with assignments, forums, quizzes and due dates.

All virtual online classes will run exactly as classroom classes, with a start and end time and regular scheduled breaks including lunch. Student must have access to a computer/laptop with video capability and download free Zoom.

Odyssey lists each Instructor that is scheduled for each class date, so now students can pick their instructor !

CAC Course Requirements

Introduction

  • An Introduction to Certification (CAC) Requirements BHA/DORA

    *Odyssey Training Request All Students to take this course due to very Important information that All students need to know. This course will introduce participants to the Colorado Certification Addiction Counselor (CAC) program. The training will provide a brief overview of CAC requirements, and will assist students in understanding the application process with DORA. This class will cover all information needed to get your CAC, from those who hold a masters degree to those who have no degree. A packet of all CAC application information will be provided to each student.  Students registering for this class will be scheduled for a 30 to 45 minute Individual session via phone with Robin and must have computer access to review your CAC questions and assist with your CAC application to DORA.

  • National Exam Prep Class

    NEW at Odyssey - National Exam Prep classes: NCAC I & II  and the MAC
    NCAC I & II   This 6 hour course is designed for students preparing to take the NCAC I exam towards their CAC II or take the NCAC II towards their CAC III.
    MAC - This 4 hour course is designed for students preparing to take the MAC exam towards their LAC and requires students to have a Master degree.
    Both prep classes focuses on the primary competency area's for review: Pharmacology / Clinical Supervision  / Co - Occurring Disorders / Ethics / Counseling Theories/ Integrative Treatment (MAT) plus practice testing, tips on testing and a resource guide.
    Odyssey Center does NOT guarantee that you will pass the exam.  It is essential you study diligently for these exams.  National exams are much harder than exams we take in classes or trainings.
