  • Adhere to Federal, State, and local government regulations while assuring compliance with all Vivent Health service delivery standards.  This includes complying with the Vivent Health Care Corporate Compliance Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures of the Behavioral Health and Wellness Clinic.
  • Participate in the delivery of a variety of behavioral health and wellness services including educational, psycho-educational and psychotherapeutic interventions at various levels of practice, giving primacy to individual, couple, and family psychotherapy.  This includes on-call/after-hours care. This may require obtaining additional training, specialized expertise, certification, and/or licensure.
  • Participate in administrative tasks related to a variety of behavioral health and wellness services (e.g., program and policy development/maintenance, marketing, research activities) including assisting with the financial/billing tasks of providing patient care.

Seeking a Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) as a primary therapist. This position’s initial duties will primarily entail intakes/assessments, some group therapy, and some individual therapy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Provide clinical assessment information and program enrollment of clients within RMBH treatment programs and apply agency adopted clinical protocols. 
  2. Facilitate treatment services, including individual, group, family sessions, and family support services with assigned caseload with direct supervision. 
  3. Coordinate referrals from other agencies, complete substance use disorder assessments, and provide reports to referral sources.

The Work Unit:
The Office of STI/HIV/VH works to reduce disease transmission and ensure quality and medically accurate STI/HIV related prevention, care, and treatment services for all people in Colorado. Functions include public health surveillance of STI/HIV/VH; follow-up of people newly diagnosed with a STI/HIV to ensure adequate treatment; referrals and partner notification; access to care and treatment as appropriate; developing comprehensive
prevention programs; and conducting program evaluation to enhance the use of STI/HIV/VH data to direct prevention and care activities. The Care and Services Program exists within the Office of STI/HIV/VH to provide access to health care, support for clients and linkage to care, and intensive case management among clients with needs related to HIV and STI. The Office of STI/HIV/VH, operates on the belief that all people – no matter their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, education level, age, language, religion, ability or geographic location – should have the opportunity to live healthy lives. The Program has three units: Health Care Access, Linkage to Care, and Client Support.The Client Support unit exists to improve the health outcomes of PLWH as well as to prevent the spread of HIV through the provision of intensive case management and counseling.What You’ll Be Doing:The Sexual Health Services Provider (HPIII) provides intensive case management for persons living with HIV who are newly diagnosed with HIV, have lapsed in care, or need individual risk reduction counseling. Through support and assistance in accessing care and re-engaging in treatment, along with help in stabilizing their personal lives, staff attempts to aid clients in reaching viral suppression, and thus utilize Treatment as Prevention (TasP).The Sexual Health Services Provider (HPIII) is tasked with the following:

  • Screen clients who are infected with, or at high risk for, STI and HIV to identify services needed.
  • Conduct individual level interventions with clients to reduce the risk of spreading HIV.
  • Negotiates/develops client-specific risk reduction plans to reduce the risk of spreading HIV.
  • Provides HIV risk reduction counseling to clients to develop disclosure skills and reduce the risk of spreading HIV.
  • Identifies partners at risk for contracting HIV/AIDS and refer them for partner counseling and referral services (PCRS) as appropriate.
  • Conducts field investigations to meet and/or locate clients or to access information.
  • Participates in the Relapse Evaluation Review Committee to assist in determining when public health orders should be issued.
  • Works with a clinical supervisor and other case review processes to increase effectiveness of client interactions.
  • Enhance collaboration, referral, and coordination with external behavioral counseling service (BCS) providers.
  • Provide assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS who are experiencing major life disruptions constituting a critical life event.

  • Ensures all case management activities include but are not limited to client progress, and case outcomes are  well documented.
